A comprehensive artist
Juan José Espiñeira encompasses more that the traditional definition of ‘architect’, and therefore, he is better described as a comprehensive artist, a quintessential creative professional.
Born in Mexico City in 1959, Espiñeira demonstrated a keen interest in art since the early days of his youth. Painting and Sculpture have both been creative outlets; however, he found his true passion and love in the art and science of Architecture. After completing his studies in Spain, Espiñeira went on to further his studies in Architecture at the La Salle University, Mexico and eventually at the Tucson Arizona State University, in the United States of America .
Al comienzo de su carrera profesional se desempeña como jefe del departamento de diseño de Rebaque y Belmont Arquitectos. Posteriormente, se independiza y se dedica principalmente a proyectos residenciales y comerciales para importantes clientes en México, Estados Unidos y España.

En 2025 decide asociarse con el arquitecto Carlos Baez, para formar la firma, Espiñeira & Báez Arquitectos con oficinas en la ciudad de México.
A través de los años, la firma ha destacado por sus innovadoras propuestas e importantes trabajos de diseño arquitectónico, construcción, diseño de interiores y remodelación y así continúa con su nuevo nombre Espiñeira & Baez Arquitectos.

One of the flagship developments are the stores and boutiques located in the famous Presidente Masaryk Avenue.
Hoy en día, la firma desarrolla proyectos en diversas ciudades de México, como en la Ciudad de México, Querétaro, Cancún, Acapulco, Playa del Carmen, así como en las ciudades de Madrid, Miami y Galicia.
